Since 2021, KFC Pakistan and OTF have given 512 scholarships. In 2024, Shan Foods partnered with Orange Tree Foundation to support female students pursuing degrees in high-impact, career-focused fields. This initiative aims to close the gender gap in higher education and build a pipeline of skilled women ready to contribute to Pakistan’s evolving workforce.
Scholarships are awarded in disciplines aligned with Shan’s future talent needs, including Food Science and Technology, Communication Design, Computer Science, Accounting and Finance, and Business Administration. Each student receives holistic support, covering tuition, resources, and personal development.
As final-year students, they also participate in OTF’s Mentoring Minds program, which enhances career readiness. What sets this effort apart is the active involvement of Shan Foods employees, who volunteer as guest speakers and mentors, offering real-world insights and meaningful guidance. This reflects Shan’s commitment to employee-led engagement and long-term impact.

Opening Doors to Higher Education for their Factory Workers in Khanewal
In 2024, Lipton partnered with Orange Tree Foundation to open doors to higher education for the children of factory workers in Khanewal, the heart of Lipton’s operations in Pakistan. This initiative reflects a deep commitment to community uplift through education.
Through this program, selected students are now pursuing degrees at leading universities in Lahore and Multan. Each student receives comprehensive support, including tuition, transportation, a laptop, and personalized mentorship tailored to their needs.
With guidance from OTF’s counselors, they’re building academic confidence and communication skills that prepare them for success in both university and beyond.
